A melting pot of contrasts from alpine and mediterranean origins

The Meran Spa has achieved an excellent combination of undiluted South Tyrol and contemporary Mediterranean. The designer Matteo Thun has created a natural oasis in the center of town  -  although the modern architecture attracts attention, it blends well into the the city scape of Meran. The structure is predominantly glass and offers an unincumbered view of the surrounding mountains, encouraging dialogue with the elements of South Tyrol and forces of nature alike.
