Five Michelin-awarded star chefs from the region, three gala dinners and fifteen Alpine pastures in Burgraviato/Burggrafenamt and Venosta Valley – these are the ingredients of the Gourmet Event series Stars Castles Mountains, taking place between May and October 2013.
The five participating Michelin-awarded star chefs represent an ideal selection of Chefs de Cuisine from around our holiday region. All them have cooked their way to the starry heights of gourmet cuisine, and serve as ambassadors for the Gourmet Region of South Tyrol. With their culinary skills, characterized by knowledge, international experience and diverse influences, they refine high-quality regional food to unique delicacies.

OUR ALPINE HUTS
Behind the Stars Castles Mountains Gourmet Event lies an entire philosophy: a philosophy of life, a way of thinking. Five South Tyrolean Michelin-awarded star chefs will cook with high-quality products and will include even more local produce. This is about the rhythm of nature, listening and observing, experiencing and appreciating. It is about the relationship with the people working the land with commitment and respect.
From May to October 2013 fifteen Alpine huts served a gourmet dish prepared according to the strict specifications of the star chefs.
To intensify this experience, you have the charming opportunity to hike, together with a Michelin-awarded star chef and an expert advisor on the mountains and/or herbs or wine, through the Gourmet Landscape of South Tyrol.
