Hotel Castel Fragsburg :: History

The hunting castle was built in 1620 by the noble Earl Mämmingen family. The owners have changed several times during the last centuries. Since 1954 the castle has been owned by the Ortner family. The hotel has been extended and renovated from time to time, without changing the outer facade. The original style has been preserved over the years, the rooms are decorated with antique furniture and wooden panels. Within the framework of the most recent renovation in 2008, the hotel acquired more comfort and luxury. However, the original style has been preserved.
